The Canned Visualizations System is built within the scope of the Adhoc 3D project that in turn is part of the bavarian competence network for technical and scientific high performance computing, KONWIHR. Adhoc 3D is about the ``side problems'' that arise in numerical simulation, like dealing with hierarchical, adaptive, distributed meshes and visualization of huge amounts of data. Canned Visualizations is one of several attempts to the visualization problem. As I believe in the ``release early, release often'' style of developement, I decided to put this onto SourceForge instead of our own CVS repository. The software has to be spread over all our project's participants anyway, and anyone else honestly interested in participating is of high value to us. |
